The Rookhope Inn, Accommodation on the c2c

Rookhope is a popular second night stop for those taking three days to complete the Coast To Coast. After a steep climb out of Allenheads a 5 mile downhill run deposits the cyclist at the door of the Inn.
Day three then starts with the last climb of the trip, followed by about 40 miles downhill to Tynemouth or Sunderland.

It may be wise to book your accommodation in Rookhope/Allendale BEFORE looking for your Lake District accommodation, there is a lot more accommodation available in the Lakes than there is in the North Pennines.
