Situated in the beautiful Weardale Valley, the Rookhope Inn provides
home cooked food, accommodation & real ale.
Weardale was once the hunting ground of the Prince Bishops of Durham.
It lies within the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty
and is ideal country for walking, cycling and wildlife watching. Nearby
Derwent Reservoir offers fishing and sailing.
Rookhope is on the Coast to Coast (C2C) cycle route and the Inn provides
a warm welcome for cyclists, whether for B&B accommodation, a
meal or just to refill a water bottle.
We carry a frequently changed selection of real ales, with beers by Green King and Black Sheep being regular and popular visitors.
We are in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. A range of traditional dishes
are always available, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
